Lady of Mount Carmel Church and Monastery

The Lady of Mount Carmel Church and Monastery is a late-19th-century Carmelite complex in northern Pest. It was designed in 1895, consecrated in 1896, and formally inaugurated in 1899 with Emperor Franz Joseph I in attendance.

The church is mainly of interest for its period architecture and rich devotional interior. The main altar shows Our Lady of Mount Carmel giving the scapular to St Simon Stock, while the side altars are dedicated to figures including St Anthony of Padua, St Stephen, St Joseph, and St Teresa of Avila.
