Vonyarcvashegy is a lakeside resort village east of Keszthely, useful when you want a broader, more open beach day than the town strand provides. The shore here has the familiar Balaton mix of lawns, shallow water, food kiosks, and families staying all afternoon.
It is not a must-see in the monumental sense, but it broadens Keszthely nicely. Come by bike or train, swim for a few hours, then continue toward Balatongyörök if you want one of the better western Balaton views.
