Walking is the best way to see Inis Meáin. The island is small enough to cross in an hour, and the network of stone-walled lanes is half the experience. Bicycles can be rented near the pier, and Island Ferries allows passengers to bring their own bikes on the boat. There are fewer than twenty cars on the island and no petrol station — you will not need one.
