Oceanworld is a small aquarium on the Dingle waterfront with a focus on the marine life of the Atlantic seabord and a respectable collection of cold-water tanks. It is unashamedly aimed at families with children, but the touch pool, the otter enclosure, and the shark tank are decent for a wet afternoon when the peninsula weather has turned and you have run out of ideas.
The aquarium also runs the Fungie monument outside the building — a bronze statue of Dingle's resident bottlenose dolphin, who lived in the harbour from 1983 until he disappeared in late 2020 and was the de facto town mascot for nearly four decades. Most local boat tours still pass the spot of his old haunt. Open year-round; busiest on rainy weekend afternoons in summer.
