San Silvestro is a small Romanesque church on Via Matteotti in the historic centre, deconsecrated long ago and now used occasionally for exhibitions and concerts. The simple stone facade and bell tower are typical of the twelfth-century parish churches that once dotted the hilltop towns of northern Lazio.
The interior preserves fragments of late medieval frescoes — devotional images commissioned by local families — and the proportions of the nave give a clear sense of what an ordinary parish church looked like before centuries of Baroque renovation rebuilt most of its neighbours.
