Da Emilia is the venerable beach trattoria at Portonovo, founded in the 1950s and run by the same family ever since. The kitchen does the local dishes well — moscioli, brodetto, plates of fried fish — at fair prices for the setting. Lunch outside on the gravel with the sea a few metres away is what the Marche does well; book in season.
