Lungomare Cristoforo Colombo

The Lungomare Cristoforo Colombo is Termoli's main seafront promenade, running south from the port along the town's principal beach. Two kilometres of palm-lined walkway, with the sand on one side and a string of beach bars, ice cream parlours, and fish restaurants on the other.

It is busiest in July and August when Italian families take over Termoli for the long beach holiday, and quietest in May and September when the temperature is still warm enough to swim but the crowds have thinned. The cycle path that runs the length of the lungomare connects with longer routes south toward Petacciato and north toward the Trigno river mouth — a flat, sea-hugging ride that makes a pleasant half-day.
