Palace of Youth and Sports

The Palace of Youth and Sports is one of Pristina's clearest pieces of late Yugoslav modernist architecture. The large concrete complex opened in 1981 as the Boro-Ramiz Youth and Sports Centre and still anchors the open area around the Newborn Monument.

Most visitors see it from the outside while walking through the city centre. The building is partly worn and partly active, with sports halls, cultural spaces, and municipal uses sharing the same complex, which makes it a good quick stop for anyone interested in Pristina's 20th-century urban landscape.
