Kaunas has its own international airport, served primarily by Ryanair and Wizz Air with connections to several European cities. It is a small, easy airport about 15 km north of the centre.
By road, Kaunas is just 100 km west of Vilnius — roughly 90 minutes by bus. Bus companies including Kautra, Ecolines and Toks run frequent services; Kautra tickets can be booked online in advance. The train from Vilnius takes about an hour and a half. Kaunas is also well connected by road to Klaipeda on the coast and to Latvia to the north.
