The largest monastery complex in Lithuania and one of the finest examples of Italian Baroque architecture in Eastern Europe. Set on a peninsula in the Kaunas Reservoir, the church interior features original 17th-century frescoes and marble work. In summer the monastery grounds host the Pazaislis Music Festival, the biggest classical and jazz music event in Lithuania.
