Klaipeda is 3 hours from Vilnius by express bus (several daily departures from the long-distance bus station near the old town) and about 4 hours by train. From Riga, the bus takes about 4 hours. The city has no commercial airport; the nearest are Palanga Airport (30km north, served by LOT and Ryanair) and Vilnius International.
International ferries connect Klaipeda to Kiel and Karlshamn (Stena Line), useful for those driving from Germany or Scandinavia.
