Herceg Novi itself has no proper beach — the seafront is rocky, with concrete bathing platforms and ladders into deep water. For sand and pebbles you go either west to Igalo, where the long shallow bay is family-friendly, or across the strait to the Luštica peninsula for the best swimming in the region.
