Fløya

The 590-metre peak that rises directly behind Svolvær and gives the harbour town its theatrical backdrop. The summit ridge, accessible by a steep but well-marked path from the back of town, takes around 2 hours up; from the top you look down on Svolvær harbour and across to the islands of Skrova and Storemolla.

The Svolværgeita pinnacle sits on a lower shoulder of the same mountain — a side trail from the main route leads to the foot of the rock for those without climbing gear. Take water and good shoes; the upper section is exposed.
