A former Norwegian caviar factory in Henningsvær converted in 2010 into a private contemporary art space — exhibitions of Olafur Eliasson, Andreas Gursky, Anish Kapoor, and major international names have made it the most ambitious art venue in northern Norway. The building looks unchanged from outside; the interior is a sequence of stripped-back industrial halls now used as galleries.
Open summer and shoulder seasons; exhibitions change once or twice a year. Worth a half-day if there is a show. The Engelskmannsbrygga gallery a few hundred metres along the same waterfront is also worth a look.
