Henningsvær Stadion

A regulation-sized football pitch on a flat shelf of rock at the south end of Henningsvær village, with the sea on three sides, the granite peaks of the Lofoten wall behind, and goal posts just metres from the water. The drone shots that appear on every Norwegian tourism poster have made it briefly internet-famous.

It is a real, working football pitch — the local club Henningsvær IL plays low-division matches there in summer — but mostly used for school sports and visiting tournaments. Public; you can walk around the edge and along the small breakwater for the iconic view. Bring a windproof jacket.
