The Palace of the Bishops of Krakow is a Renaissance palace beside Krakow's Old Town, closely associated with Pope John Paul II. Karol Wojtyla lived here as bishop and cardinal from 1963 until his election as pope, and returned to stay here during later visits to the city.
The palace courtyard and the famous papal window are the main points of interest for visitors. It is a worthwhile stop for anyone following Krakow's religious history or the life of John Paul II.
