The Rudolf Schweitzer-Cumpana Art Gallery occupies Pitești's former town hall, an 1886 building in the centre of the city. Its collection covers Romanian painting and sculpture, with works by major modern painters such as Nicolae Grigorescu, Ștefan Luchian, Theodor Pallady, Gheorghe Petrașcu, and Nicolae Tonitza. Two rooms focus on Rudolf Schweitzer-Cumpana, the Pitești-born painter who gives the gallery its name.
