Vila Florica is the former estate of the Brătianu family, one of the great political dynasties of modern Romania. The villa is now a museum, and its rooms connect Pitești with the broader story of Romanian independence, liberal politics, and the country's uneasy 19th- and 20th-century transformations.
The house is not as famous as Romania's castles, but that is part of its value. It gives travellers a more intimate look at power: family portraits, domestic spaces, and the setting where national politics once mixed with private life.
