Puerto Marina is the focal point for nightlife in Benalmádena, with two main "floors" of bars and clubs. The lower level — sometimes called Plaza Solymar — is loud and youthful, with bars running until the early hours. The upper level is quieter, with terrace cafés overlooking the boats. Up in the pueblo the bars are calmer, geared to a slow late-evening drink rather than a full night out.
