The Torreón del Homenaje is the surviving castle tower in Setenil's upper quarter. It is a compact sight, but it anchors the town's medieval story and helps explain why the settlement mattered before tourists arrived to photograph the cave streets.
The climb from the lower streets is part of the visit. From up here, the gorge layout becomes easier to understand, and Setenil looks less like a curiosity and more like a defensible hill town.
