Palma rewards slow exploration on foot. The old town is dense with monuments — the cathedral, the Almudaina Palace, the Llotja, the Arab Baths — all within fifteen minutes of each other. The contemporary art museum Es Baluard sits inside repurposed sixteenth-century sea walls. Bellver Castle, three kilometers west, is the city's great viewpoint. The Passeig des Born is the place to orient yourself before heading deeper into the medieval streets.
