Valle Gran Rey is a place for slow travel — walking the terraced hillsides, swimming in the calm Atlantic, watching the fishing boats come in. The valley itself is the attraction: the vertiginous descent from the laurel cloud forest to the sea, the micro-climates stacked within a few kilometres of vertical change, the quality of light in the late afternoon. The area also has dolphin and whale watching trips running from the harbour.
