Ca l'Enric

Ca l'Enric is the other Michelin restaurant of the Garrotxa, in the small village of La Vall de Bianya about ten minutes north of Olot. The Juncà family have been cooking here for four generations; the current generation, the brothers Jordi and Joan Juncà, hold one Michelin star and run one of the most respected game-and-mushroom kitchens in Catalonia.

The dining room is set in an old village inn rebuilt in modernist style, with views into the kitchen and the woods. The menu changes with the season but always centres on the hunting and foraging traditions of the area — wild boar, woodcock, hare, the wild mushrooms that grow in the Garrotxa forests in autumn. Lunch is the easier reservation.
