Olot has no train station. The nearest mainline rail is at Girona, 55 kilometres east, from where the Teisa bus company runs roughly hourly services up to Olot — the journey takes an hour and a quarter. Teisa also runs direct buses from Barcelona to Olot, about two and a half hours, with a stop on the eastern edge of the city.
By car, Olot is reached via the C-66 from Girona or the C-63 / C-153 from Vic and Barcelona. The roads through the Pyrenean foothills are slow but scenic. Parking inside the old town is metered and limited; use the lots near the bus station.
The closest airports are Girona-Costa Brava and Barcelona-El Prat.
