Carmen Thyssen Space

A small art exhibition space in a former monastery building that hosts a rotating annual show from the private collection of Baroness Carmen Thyssen-Bornemisza. Past exhibitions have covered Sorolla, Mediterranean landscapes, and 19th-century Catalan painting. The space is modest but the works on display are usually first-rate.

Open from spring through autumn. Small admission fee. Worth a stop if your visit lines up with an exhibition.

A story
Baroness Carmen Thyssen-Bornemisza spends part of each year in S'Agaró, just north of Sant Feliu, and the Sant Feliu exhibition space is one of two small satellites of the main Thyssen-Bornemisza collection in Madrid. Each season brings a different themed selection drawn from the Baroness's private holdings.
