Passeig Marítim

The long palm-lined seafront promenade

The Passeig Marítim runs for nearly three kilometres along the Sitges seafront, from the Sant Bartomeu headland south to the Aiguadolç marina, lined with palms, benches, and a near-continuous row of bars, restaurants, and ice-cream parlours. It is the spine of the town: by day a route between the various beaches, by evening a place to walk before dinner.

The northern stretch by the old town is the busiest, with the best views back to the floodlit church. South of the Hotel Calípolis the promenade narrows and the crowds thin, with stretches popular with the local LGBTQ+ community. At dusk the whole length fills with strollers, joggers, and dog-walkers — a Mediterranean evening ritual at its most concentrated.
