The Paseo Marítimo links Sanxenxo and Portonovo along the seafront — a 2.5 km tiled promenade that follows the curve of the bay, passing the marina, a small pebble cove called Caneliñas, and a stretch of low cliffs before dropping into Portonovo's harbour. It is the right way to get between the two villages: faster than the road for most of the year, much more pleasant, and lined with restaurants and bars.
The walk takes around 20–25 minutes one way at a relaxed pace. In summer it is busy in the evening with the paseo crowd — locals out for an early-night stroll before dinner. Going the other direction, you can continue east from Sanxenxo along the coast as far as Praia de Areas if you want a longer walk.
