The Puerto Deportivo Juan Carlos I is the marina at the eastern end of Silgar beach — one of the biggest sport ports in Spain, with around 400 berths. In summer it fills up with yachts and motorboats from across Spain and beyond, and the harbour front becomes the social spine of the town. Restaurants, bars, and ice-cream stalls line the quay.
For non-sailors, the marina is mainly a place to walk in the evening and look at the boats. Operators run short ría cruises and fishing trips from the dock — useful if you want to get out on the water without renting your own. The big sailing regattas in July and August draw competitors from across the Iberian Peninsula and are worth catching if your visit coincides.
