Sanxenxo is built around its beaches — Silgar in the centre, Areas to the east, Montalvo to the west, and the great curve of A Lanzada beyond the peninsula. Beyond the sand, the marina, a short coast walk to neighbouring Portonovo, and the views across the Ría de Pontevedra make up most of the daytime attractions. The real sights are a short drive away on the rest of the peninsula and across the bay.
