The wall and the ruined churches are the heart of any visit to Visby, and you could spend a full day doing nothing but wandering between them. Beyond the historic core, the town has a good archaeological museum, a handful of art spaces, and easy access to Gotland's prehistoric landscapes just outside the city gates.
