Glasi Hergiswil is a working glassworks and small museum south of Lucerne, where the point is not only to see finished glass but to watch it being made. The exhibition explains the local history of glassmaking, then the workshop gives it heat, rhythm, and noise.
It is a good short trip if you want a craft stop between lake scenery and mountain excursions. The shop is secondary; the real reason to go is seeing molten glass turned into something precise by hand.
