Mount Titlis is one of the classic high-Alpine excursions from Lucerne, reached by train to Engelberg and then a sequence of cable cars into glacier terrain. The appeal is straightforward: snow, cliffs, big views, and the novelty of gaining serious altitude without technical effort.
It is heavily visited and priced accordingly, but the experience is still impressive in clear weather.
