Jennicliff is one of the simplest good outings from Plymouth: a grassy coastal viewpoint looking back across Plymouth Sound, the Hoe, Drake's Island, and the traffic of a working naval harbour. It feels much more open than the city waterfront, with cliffs, paths, and wind instead of promenades.
Come for a picnic, a short walk, or a sunset view rather than a packaged attraction. It also links well with Mount Batten and the South West Coast Path, making it useful if you want a half-day outside the city without committing to a long rural excursion.
