Merchant's House

Merchant's House is a surviving 16th- and 17th-century townhouse on one of Plymouth's oldest streets. It was once home to several Plymouth mayors, including privateer William Parker, a contemporary of Sir Francis Drake.

The building is a compact stop, but it adds useful depth to a walk through the Barbican and the old centre, where much of Plymouth's earlier street fabric was lost.
