Westons has been making cider and perry at the Bounds Farm in Much Marcle since 1880, five miles west of Ledbury, and is still owned by the founding family. The visitor centre runs guided tours of the working press, the fermentation vats and the rack-house, with tastings of the dry, medium and sweet ranges at the end. The shop sells the full Westons range plus single-orchard ciders not generally available outside the county.
The on-site Scrumpy House Bar and Restaurant is the best place in the area to eat a long lunch with a flight of ciders: the cider-glazed Hereford beef and the perry pear and Stilton tart are reliably good. Tours run several times daily from Tuesday to Saturday; book ahead in summer.
