Hull is on the north bank of the Humber estuary, about 220 km north of London and 100 km east of Manchester. The fastest train from London King's Cross is around two and a half hours via Doncaster. Hull Paragon Interchange combines the station and bus terminal under one Victorian glass roof at the western edge of the centre — a five-minute walk to Queen Victoria Square.
The car ferry from Rotterdam and Zeebrugge docks at the King George Dock terminal east of the centre, with a P&O Ferries shuttle bus into town for foot passengers. There is no regular passenger airport in the city itself; Humberside Airport, 25 km south across the Humber Bridge, has limited domestic and Channel Islands flights. Leeds Bradford and Manchester airports are the main long-haul options, both around 90 minutes by road.
