The Cathedral Church of St Marie is Sheffield's Catholic cathedral, smaller and less publicly dominant than the Anglican cathedral but rich in Gothic Revival detail. Its position in the city centre makes it easy to miss unless you are deliberately looking up side streets and spires.
Step inside for stained glass, quiet, and a different strand of Sheffield's religious history. It is a short visit, but a worthwhile one if you enjoy churches that still feel woven into daily city life.
