Getting There

By Train — Sheffield Station sits on the Midland Main Line, with regular fast services from London St Pancras (just over 2 hours), Birmingham, Manchester, and Leeds. CrossCountry trains run to Edinburgh, Bristol, and the south coast. The station is a 10-minute walk from the city centre.

By Air — Sheffield has no airport of its own; the nearest are Doncaster Sheffield (closed 2022 but periodically rumoured to reopen), Manchester (about an hour by car or train), and Leeds Bradford. East Midlands Airport is also within reach.

By Road — The M1 motorway runs east of the city centre; Junction 33 or Junction 34 are the standard exits. Parking in the centre is expensive but plentiful. Long-distance coach services run to Pond Street bus interchange in the city centre.
