Little Bettys

The smaller, quieter Stonegate sibling of Bettys on St Helen's Square, often with shorter queues

Little Bettys on Stonegate serves the same menu as the main Bettys a few streets away — fat rascals, Yorkshire curd tart, proper tea — in a smaller and quieter space. The building is narrow and tall, and the café winds up several floors. It lacks the grand period interior of the St Helen's Square branch, but it also tends to have shorter queues and a more relaxed atmosphere.

If the main Bettys queue extends out of the door, this is the practical alternative. The quality of the baking is identical and the service follows the same careful Bettys style. The location on Stonegate makes it a natural stop on the walk between the Minster and the Shambles area.
