Whiting Bay Beach

The sandy bay that gives the village its name stretches along the seafront, backed by the village road and a line of houses and gardens. Views across the Firth of Clyde to the Ayrshire coast are clear on a good day. The bay is safe for paddling at most states of the tide, and a walk along the shore is a pleasant way to start or end a day. Nothing dramatic — just the uncomplicated pleasure of a quiet Scottish bay with good light and open water.
