St. Mary's is Inverness's main Roman Catholic church, built in 1837 on the west side of the River Ness. It is not a cathedral, but its stained glass, altar, and riverside setting make it a worthwhile pause while walking between the centre and the Ness islands.
The church works best as part of a short architectural walk that also takes in Inverness Cathedral, the Old High Church, and the river bridges.
