Unst rewards slow travel. The headline is Hermaness on the northern tip, but the more curious side of the island — the bus shelter with the sofa, Britain's most northerly distillery, the empty road ending at Skaw — is the part that makes the long journey north feel worth it. A day is enough to see the highlights if you keep moving; two or three lets you walk and notice.
