Aberystwyth's eating scene reflects its university-town character: good value, internationally varied, and with a handful of places that are genuinely worth seeking out. The main concentration of restaurants is around Great Darkgate Street and Pier Street in the town centre. Seafood is the obvious local strength — the fishing boats still work out of Aberystwyth harbour, and crab and sea bass feature regularly on menus.
