Harrison Hot Springs is a small resort village at the south end of Harrison Lake, where the Fraser Valley gives way to steep, wet mountains. It is famous for mineral springs, but the setting matters just as much: a long lake, a beach promenade, forested slopes, and easy access to Sasquatch Provincial Park.
The village is resort-minded, and some of its appeal is simple: soak, walk the beach, rent a kayak, look up at the mountains. That would be too thin on its own, but Harrison Lake, the Public Hot Pool, Sasquatch Provincial Park, and the odd little Spirit Trail make it more than a hotel strip.
Come as a day trip from the eastern Lower Mainland or as a low-key overnight stop on the way toward Hope and the Fraser Canyon. Do not expect a deep town. Do expect warm water, big scenery, and enough outdoor anchors to fill a relaxed spare day.
