Point Pleasant Park is Halifax's great urban woodland, spreading across the south end of the peninsula where the harbour opens toward the Atlantic. Its paths move between forest, shoreline, and old military remains, so a walk here feels both fresh-aired and historical.
Locals use it for running, dog walks, and winter rambles, but visitors should come for the harbour views and the sense of how fortified this city once was. It is one of the easiest ways to get beyond downtown without really leaving Halifax.
