St. Paul's Anglican Church

St. Paul's Anglican Church is the oldest building in Halifax and the oldest surviving Protestant place of worship in Canada. Founded in 1749 by order of King George II, it has stood through much of the city's colonial, naval, and civic history.

The church is a worthwhile stop in the downtown core, close to the Grand Parade and Halifax Town Clock. Inside and outside, look for memorials and details tied to the Halifax Explosion and the city's early British settlement.
