Trinity Anglican Church

Trinity Anglican Church is one of the older surviving churches in Galt, built in the 1850s in a straightforward Gothic Revival style using local limestone. The spire is visible from several points in the downtown core and serves as a useful landmark. The interior retains much of its original woodwork and stained glass.

The church is an active parish, so access to the interior is limited to service times and occasional open events. The exterior and graveyard are accessible year-round and worth a few minutes for anyone exploring the Galt core on foot.

A story
Trinity Anglican was built primarily from Credit Valley limestone in the Gothic Revival style in the 1850s — the same local stone that gives Galt's downtown its unusual coherence and pale, almost Scottish look.
