A century-old community athletic club at the eastern end of the boardwalk, sitting right on the lake at Balmy Beach. Founded in 1905, it is best known for its rowing, paddling, and rugby clubs and for the Balmy Beach lawn-bowling and canoe traditions — a piece of the neighbourhood's history that still functions as a private club.
For the visitor it marks the quiet, residential end of the beachfront, where the crowds of Woodbine thin out and the boardwalk gives way to a calmer stretch of sand and lake views. The clubhouse and the surrounding little park are a pleasant turnaround point on a walk along the water.
