A 40-acre garden on the hillside behind Sandy Bay, opened by a Roatán family in the 1980s and now run as a conservation-focused non-profit. The trails wind through tropical hardwood (mahogany, mango, gumbo-limbo), fruit-tree groves, orchid and bromeliad collections, and a "spice garden" of allspice, vanilla, and cinnamon.
The main trail climbs to the Iguana Wall — a rock face inhabited by dozens of green iguanas — and continues to a ridge-top viewpoint above the reef and the bay. The full loop takes 90 minutes at a leisurely pace; sturdy shoes are advised. A pleasant break from the beach if the weather closes in.
