Manzanillo's coastline offers a range of beaches around its two bays. La Boquita at the northern tip of Santiago Bay is popular with locals for its mild surf and seafood stands. Playa La Audiencia on the Santiago Peninsula is the most famous, sheltered and good for swimming and snorkelling. Further out, Peña Blanca is a quieter stretch with palm trees and ATV riding (closed during turtle nesting season). Club de Yates, accessible via the Las Hadas road, has a protected cove excellent for snorkelling and diving. For surf, head north to Playa Olas Altas on the open Pacific side.
